11^th ANNUAL BBQ FUNDRAISER

Join Galveston Lifesaving Association, The Galveston Island Beach Patrol, and the Galveston Island Beach Patrol Junior Lifeguards as we celebrate summer with our annual BBQ Fundraiser/Silent Auction and Street Fest.

Galveston Lifesaving Association, the local chapter of the United States Lifesaving Association-the professional organization represented by the Galveston Island Beach Patrol - will be hosting its 11th Annual BBQ Fundraiser/Silent Auction and Street Fest. This event will be held Friday, June 27th, 2008 from 6:00pm - 11:00pm at 24th and Post Office.

This event will benefit Galveston Lifesaving Association's National Competition Team as well as the Jr. Lifeguard Team that will be competing at the United States Lifesaving Associations National Lifeguard Competition in Myrtle Beach, SC in August. Proceeds also benefit the Galveston Island Beach Patrol Junior Lifeguard Scholarship program and other special projects of Galveston Lifesaving Association including the Beach Wheelchair Program, Survivor Support Network and others.

Mouth watering BBQ and all the fixings head the menu.There will be live entertainment from local bands as well. Continue checking the website for updates on entertainment. A silent auction will be conducted from 6:00-9:00.

Tickets for this event will be available from any Galveston Island Beach Patrol Lifeguard or Junior Lifeguard and also by calling (409) 763-4769. Tickets go on sale Memorial Day Weekend.
This is a fun event for the entire family. So come out, eat some great Bar-B-Q have a great time with the members of Galveston Lifesaving Association and their families!
